Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

Reporting to: Inside Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Sales Support Specialist will perform various routine duties to support the sales department. Position also available for commission after demonstrated proficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs data entry tasks such as sales order entry, freight rates, customer profiles or updates and product specifications.
  • Produces sales department reports such as monthly shipping reports and ship sheets
  • Coordinates with shipping to ensure sales orders are shipped.
  • Coordinates with the production department to get updates on existing and new orders.
  • Assists in year- end customer appreciation events.
  • Maintains promotional database.
  • Assists sales manager in resolving order and inventory issues.
  • Assists in providing product, promotion and information based on customer requests.
  • Processes and arranges shipment of samples and promotional items.
  • Assists with sales calls as well as incoming phone and email traffic.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years Sales/clerical/ administrative experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Employment based on pre-employment drug screening.
